A reflection tool, not a verdict

Am I Gay Quiz is an informational website created to give people a private, low-pressure way to reflect on patterns in their romantic and emotional attraction.

Last reviewed August 12, 2026.

The clearest thing we can tell you

No quiz can determine your sexual orientation. Your result is not a diagnosis, clinical assessment, or instruction to adopt a label. Only you can decide which words, if any, describe you.

Who is behind this site?

The site is operated under the name Am I Gay Quiz, with amigayquiz01@gmail.com as its public operational contact. The service is not a counseling provider, healthcare provider, university, or LGBTQ+ organization. Questions about the site, corrections, privacy, or accessibility can be sent to that address.

How the quiz works

The current quiz uses a transparent, rule-based scoring model. It does not use artificial intelligence to interpret your answers.

  1. Twenty reflection prompts — Questions cover imagined partners, emotional connection, attraction, past experiences, and how you currently understand yourself.
  2. One to five points — Each answer contributes 1 to 5 points. Lower values lean toward different-gender attraction; higher values lean toward same-gender attraction; middle values reflect attraction that is less gender-specific.
  3. A fixed result range — The 20 answers produce a total from 20 to 100. A predefined score range selects one of five broad result descriptions.

Published scoring ranges

| Score | Label | | ------ | ------------------------------------- | | 20–35 | Predominantly heterosexual | | 36–50 | Heterosexual with bisexual tendencies | | 51–65 | Bisexual or pansexual | | 66–80 | Predominantly homosexual | | 81–100 | Exclusively homosexual |

These labels summarize a score; they do not establish an identity. Human attraction can be fluid, multidimensional, uncertain, or not fully represented by these five ranges.

What this quiz can and cannot do

It can help you:

  • Slow down and notice recurring feelings
  • Put private thoughts into a simple structure
  • Identify questions you may want to explore further

It cannot:

  • Diagnose or prove a sexual orientation
  • Replace counseling, healthcare, or crisis support
  • Capture every identity, culture, relationship, or lived experience

Evidence and editorial standard

This quiz was created for self-reflection and has not been clinically validated. We do not claim diagnostic accuracy. We review copy for respectful language, publish the scoring logic above, and welcome corrections when language or assumptions can be improved.

Your answers stay in your browser

Quiz responses and progress are stored locally in your browser so you can continue later. They are not submitted to our application database. The site does use separate website analytics; see the Privacy Policy for the current disclosure.

Use the result as a starting point

If questioning your sexuality is causing distress or affecting your safety, consider speaking with a qualified LGBTQ+-affirming counselor or a trusted support organization in your region.
